Editorial Independence Our Commitment
Review-It's credibility depends on independence. Our assessments are conducted without commercial influence, and this page sets out the principles that guide our editorial work.
Core Principles
- No paid assessments - We never accept payment in exchange for assessments or favourable coverage. Brands cannot pay to be assessed, to improve their outcome, or to have critical content removed
- No sold rankings - Assessment outcomes are based solely on the application of our evaluation criteria. Position or outcome cannot be purchased
- Editorial independence - Assessment content is produced independently. No commercial relationship influences our analysis or conclusions
- Transparency - We publish our methodology, evaluation criteria, and editorial policies. Readers can see how we reach our conclusions
What We Do
- Conduct independent research for every assessment using publicly available evidence
- Apply consistent evaluation criteria across all brands assessed
- Correct errors promptly and transparently
- Give brands the opportunity to respond to our findings
- Publish our methodology and editorial policies openly
What We Do Not Do
- Accept payment for assessments or improved outcomes
- Allow brands to preview or approve assessments before publication
- Remove or alter assessments based on pressure from brands
- Publish assessments without proper research and editorial review
- Use automated content generation without human editorial oversight
- Accept gifts or incentives that could influence our coverage
Brand Responses
If a brand disagrees with our assessment or believes we have made a factual error, they can contact us to provide additional information, request a factual correction, or provide a formal response. We will not alter conclusions or remove legitimate analysis simply because a brand is unhappy with the outcome.
