Accuracy & Corrections

Our Commitment

Review-It strives for accuracy in every assessment we publish. However, we recognise that errors can occur. When they do, we are committed to correcting them promptly and transparently.

Types of Corrections

  • Minor corrections - Small factual errors, typos, or outdated details that do not significantly affect the overall assessment. These are corrected without a formal notice
  • Significant corrections - Errors that materially affect the accuracy of an assessment or could mislead readers. These are noted within the published article with the date and nature of the correction
  • Assessment updates - If new information comes to light that significantly affects our analysis, we may update the assessment. Updates are noted with an explanation and date

How to Report an Error

If you believe we have made an error in one of our assessments, please contact us with:

  • The title or link of the assessment in question
  • A clear description of the error
  • Evidence or documentation supporting your correction request
  • Your contact information for follow-up

We aim to review all correction requests within 5 working days.

What We Will Correct

  • Factual errors - incorrect information about a brand or its practices
  • Outdated information - policies or practices that have changed since publication
  • Misattributed statements or misrepresented evidence
  • Significant omissions that affect the fairness of an assessment

What We Will Not Change

We will not alter assessments simply because a brand disagrees with our analysis. Specifically:

  • We will not remove legitimate criticism or negative findings
  • We will not change conclusions without evidence of factual error
  • We will not delete assessments at a brand's request
  • We will not alter our editorial analysis or methodology-based conclusions

Brands are welcome to provide a formal response, which we may reference or include as context.

Updates vs Corrections

Updates reflect changes that have occurred since publication - for example, a brand has changed its policies or practices. These are noted as updates.

Corrections fix errors that existed at the time of publication. These are noted as corrections. Both include the date they were made.
